How to Download Facebook Videos (Public Posts, Reels, and Watch)

June 11, 2026

Facebook hosts a huge amount of video — public posts, Reels, Watch, group uploads. Here's how to save the ones you have access to.

The basic flow

  1. Open the Facebook post in your browser or app.
  2. Tap Share → Copy link. (In the app, tap the three dots → Copy link.)
  3. Go to snaptok.org/facebook-video-downloader.
  4. Paste, tap Download, pick HD or SD.

Works for:

  • Public videos posted to a Page or profile
  • Facebook Reels
  • Facebook Watch episodes that aren't behind a paywall
  • Videos in public Groups

Doesn't work for:

  • Videos in private Groups you're not a member of
  • Live streams (only after they've ended and been published as a regular video)
  • DRM-protected content (Facebook Watch shows from rights-holders)

HD vs SD

Most Facebook videos are uploaded at 720p or 1080p. The SnapTok preview shows every available resolution — pick HD unless you specifically need a smaller file. SD is around 360p, fine for messaging but blurry on a TV.

Facebook Reels specifically

Facebook Reels are short vertical videos, same format as Instagram Reels. The download flow is identical — copy the Reel's link from the share menu, paste into SnapTok, get an MP4.

Audio-only

Pick MP3 in the preview to grab just the audio track. Useful for podcasts that are uploaded as Facebook videos, or for sermon/lecture content that you want to listen to offline.
